Activities for the week of June 16-22

Things going on this week in the LSC youth ministries:

• Tuesday night, 6:30 pm: Young Life at the Pit/Annex. Come, as always, for some good game time (Halo, Guitar Hero, etc.), and some tips about managing money.  Taco Bell afterwards!!!
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00: LSC Middle School group at the Pit/Annex. We’ve got our regular Wednesday night meeting with Guitar Hero, other games, and a good discussion.
• Friday night, 7:30-10:00: High School growth group at the Kneips’ home (236 Donmoyer, just down the street from the church). We’ll play some games together, hang out, and have some snacks and dessert.
• Sunday: Middle-schoolers and their chaperones leave for Michiana Christian Service Camp.  We’ll be gone all week and return Friday night.  Please pray for us!

Youth Ministry Activities for the Week of June 9-15

• Tuesday night, 6:30 pm: Take note: No Young Life!!! Next week we’ll be back at the Pit/Annex at 6:30 — hope to see you all there!
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00: LSC Middle School group at the Pit/Annex. We’ve got our regular Wednesday night meeting with Guitar Hero, other games, and a good discussion.
• Friday night, 6:30-9:00: Middle School group trip to Putt-Putt in Mishawaka. Bring money to play golf!
• Sunday after church at the building: High School growth group. We’re going to help move the chairs and then we’ll see about the rest, since it’s Father’s Day.
• Sunday night, 5:00 pm: Underground Cafe. Come check out Becoming the Archetype. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Activities for the week of June 2-8

Things going on this week in the LSC youth ministry:

• Tuesday night, 6:30-8:00: Young Life lock-in/sleepover.  We start at 6:30, like normal, and if you plan to stay the night, have someone pick you up in the morning at 7:30.  Bring $2 for pizza — there’s no Taco Bell Tuesday night — and any other snacks you’d like to share.
• Wednesday night, 5:30-???: LSC Middle School group trip to Challenger baseball game.  We’re going to see Christine’s team play and cheer for everyone!  Meet at the Pit/Annex at 5:30; parents, we’ll call when things are wrapping up with more information.
• Sunday after church at Chuck and Diane Barrington’s house (4125 Sampson; SB, 46614): High School growth group.  Come enjoy the fellowship, the pizza, and have a little talk together.  We’re also welcoming in our eighth-graders, if they’d like to come.

Activities for the week of May 19-26

Things going on this week in the LSC youth ministry:

• Tuesday night, 6:30-8:00: Young Life bowling night. We’ll meet at Chippewa Bowl at 6:30.  Bring $6.00 — it’ll get you shoes plus two games, thanks to a deal they’re cutting us.  Bring whatever other money you want for food, etc.
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Pit: LSC Middle School group. School’s almost over — come hang out and celebrate!  I think we’re going to talk more about our summer plans…
• Sunday night, 5:00, at the building: Underground Cafe.  This week Kingston Falls are playing, among others.  Check out the website at www.underground-cafe.com!
• Monday, 2:00, at the Silks: High School growth group Memorial Day cookout! We’re going to enjoy each other’s company and finish up our Bible study for the semester.  Hope you can all make it!

Activities for Week of Apr. 14-20

Things going on this week in the LSC youth ministry:

• Tuesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: Riley Young Life club. This week: Fear Factor!  Come ready to feel weird stuff, eat weird stuff — and just generally be freaked and grossed out.  Should be fun!  And Vesta will be giving her last talk before she graduates next month — you don’t want to miss it!
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: LSC Middle School group. Come hang out, play some Guitar Hero, and shake off the end-of-Spring-Break blues!
• Notice: In case you have not already heard, the Undergrounds originally scheduled for both Friday and Saturday nights have been canceled.  Next planned show: Friday, May 2.
• Sunday, time and location TBA: High School growth group. I’ll let you when and where we’ll be meeting, but we’ll be continuing our Bible study by talking about “What Indiana Jones Was Looking For” — curiosity piqued?

Youth Ministry Activities — Week of Mar. 31-Apr. 6

Things going on this week in the LSC youth ministry:

• Tuesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: Riley Young Life club. This week: The Travel Channel.  We’ll be all over the world Tuesday night.  David will be speaking, so come see some great pictures of God’s creation in Alaska!
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: LSC Middle School group. Come hang out, play some Guitar Hero.  Did you hear that we finally got our camp brochures?!?!?
• Sunday, after church, at the church: High School growth group.  We’re going to enjoy some pizza, help set up for the Underground, and have our Bible study.  Can’t wait to see you all!
• Sunday evening, 7:00, at the church: Underground Cafe!  Come check out Bradley Hathaway, a sweet poet/comic/musician (I think), and Jess Strantz rockin’ it out.

Activities for the Week of March 17-23

Things going on this week in the LSC youth ministry:

• Tuesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: Riley Young Life club. This week: MAN VS. WILD. That’s right — get ready for games that will test your survival skills to the limit! Matt will be speaking to us. We’ll also discuss some house rules.
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: LSC Middle School group. Come hang out, play some Guitar Hero, and don’t be too crazy after the half-day of school! (And maybe we’ll actually have camp brochures! )
• Sunday: High School growth group: TBA. Not sure what we’re doing this week, since it’s Easter. David will be in touch.
• Sunday evening, 5:00-6:00, at the Kneips’ home (236 Donmoyer, SB, 46614): Young Life campaigners’ group. We’re talking about God’s work in our lives, and how we might be more confident that he’s really out there.

Final note: Don’t forget — Underground Cafe next Tuesday night, March 25th. Rock on!

Activities for the week of Mar. 3-9

 Things going on this week in the LSC youth ministry:

• Tuesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: Riley Young Life club. This week: No Notre Dame students (sad).  So, we’ll have to pray for them and have fun without them.  Make sure to come hear Jim speak again!
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: LSC Middle School group. Come hang out, play some Guitar Hero, and catch up after the sleep-over last Friday night.
• Sunday after church: High School growth group. This week, we’re going out to eat together, so bring a few dollars for some fast food.  Maybe we’ll watch a movie together afterward.
• Sunday evening, 5:00-6:00, at the Kneips’ home (236 Donmoyer, SB, 46614): Young Life campaigners’ group. We’re talking about God’s work in our lives, and how we might be more confident that he’s really out there.

Final note: The Underground Cafe for Saturday, March 15, has been canceled.  Mark your calendars, though, for Tuesday, March 25!

Activities for the Week of Feb. 25-Mar. 2

 Things going on this week in the LSC youth ministry:

• Tuesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: Riley Young Life club. Theme this week: Scrubs! Come ready to play with Q-tips, cotton balls, and other hospital accessories. Vesta will give a testimony regarding her admission to medical school!
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00, in the Annex: LSC Middle School group. Come hang out, play some Guitar Hero, and hope that Amy’s feeling better.
• Sunday after church, at the Silks’ home (5308 Finch, SB, 46614): High School growth group. As always, there will be fantastic food, and our Bible study this week will concern the people of Israel on a camp-out at Mt. Sinai.
• Sunday evening, 5:00-6:00, at the Kneips’ home (236 Donmoyer, SB, 46614): Young Life campaigners’ group. We’re talking about God’s work in our lives, and how we might be more confident that he’s really out there.

Activities for the Week of January 6

This week’s ever-exciting youth group activities:

• Tuesday night, 6:30-8:00 — the Riley Young Life club (hosted by LSC) will meet in the (soon-to-be-renamed) Annex.
• Wednesday night, 6:30-8:00 — the LSC middle school group will meet in the Annex for a little New Year’s fun!
• Friday night, 7:00 — NO UNDERGROUND CAFE!!! No show this weekend — but mark your calendars for Saturday, January 26th, and Kingston Falls!
